Village Upkeep
Litter-pick Activity
CSEG, in conjunction with the Keep Wales Tidy organisation, have organised a number of litter-picks in and around the village, including one in Fedw Wood.
While Keep Wales Tidy, in the shape of Rachel Palmer, their project officer for South Powys, provided bags, mechanical litter-pickers and protective equipment, CSEG and the Cwmdu community supplied the volunteers.
Our last event earlier this year collected 11 sacks of litter from the roadsides and from the Village Hall car-park (where a lot of unwanted items are dumped around the recycling site).
We plan to hold further litter-picks on a regular basis, from this autumn onwards. Volunteer litter-pickers extremely welcome!
The photograph below shows CSEG and community volunteers by the pile of collected rubbish (plus one of our electric bikes).
